It’s very rare you’ll hear me say a bad word about Sony, I love developing for their hardware, I think the controller design is perfect (well… okay those triggers on PS3 were a mistake, but aside from that), ever since PS1 they could do no wrong in my book, until now. After browsing this list of PSOne classics available on PSN I was filled with excitement and made a quick shopping list of games to pick up this weekend:
Alundra
Crash Bandicoot Team Racing
FFVII
Grandia
Metal Gear Solid
Resident Evil
Resident Evil 2
Suikoden
Tekken 2
Twisted Metal 2
UmJammer Lammy
Wild Arms
12 awesome games for about £50 is a total bargain in my opinion. Just one snag… Only ONE game in the list above is available in the PAL territory! COME ON! As a developer myself I realise that localisation is a massive pain in the arse, but all of those games saw world-wide release first time around, they surely have the localised versions knocking around somewhere, whatsmore they clearly have the code running fine on the PS3′s PSOne emulation, so why in the shitting crickey are these games not available for me to buy in the UK? It’s poor decisions like this that really highlight why Sony are getting their asses handed to them this gen. ![]()
